Our Froebel Education Centre
Knowing the known is only one third of education but that is where most people stop. The student who is able to think and to explore and discover the unknown, develops into a person who can lead us into the future.
Our aim is to enable each child to become all that he was created to be. A well-rounded child is balanced academically, socially, physically, spiritually and emotionally. The development of the well-rounded child in relation to all that surrounds him is our priority.
Modern educators continue to recognize the importance of deliberately choosing to develop the well-rounded child, as we see in the following quotation:
At present we [American educators] leave the emotional education of our children to chance, with ever more disastrous results. One solution is a new vision of what schools can do to educate the whole student, bringing together mind and heart in the classroom. I can foresee a day when education will routinely include inculcating essential human competencies such as self-awareness, self-control, and empathy and the arts of listening, resolving conflicts, and cooperation.
Our students excel in life because they are responsible, creative and compassionate, and they take initiative.
Our Centre includes children from age 3 to grade 8. There are two interrelated programmes - the Kindergarten and the School. Kindergarten is for children age 3 to grade 2, which are the foundation years, and the School for grade 3 to grade 8. All our staff receive additional training at the Froebel Institute.
